X and Y cards revealed

Hello Pokemon fans! Today I have exciting news about the Kalos Region in the Pokemon trading card game! You can see the cards below!

For starters are the Kalos starters and their evolutions!

The first is the basics, which you of at the beginning of the game. The cards of the basic starters (Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie) are the exact same as the promos in the boxes that are out now which come with one of the promos you see below and three booster packs from the Black and White series.  But I really like the art on the new cards, which look amazing, almost like 3D. (Oh...now I get it. The games are in 3D! Both the cards and the games look wicked!)

Stage one

Personally, I hate stage ones when they later evolve into a Stage two. They seem seem like a deformed version of the final evolution, and a lot of times they're just bigger than their original. But these might barely pass for slightly 1/4 decent. I mean, they aren't great, but they are kind of there own thing.

The translation is below, copied from Pokebeach.com Thanks PB!

Quilladin - Grass - HP90
Stage 1 - Evolves from Chespin
[G][C] Leech Seed: 20 damage. Heal 10 damage from this Pokemon.
[G][C][C] Needle Arm: 50 damage.
Weakness: Fire (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 2
Braixen - Fire - HP80
Stage 1 - Evolves from Fennekin
[R][C] Cinder: 20+ damage. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 20 more damage.
[R][C][C] Flame Tail: 60 damage.
Weakness: Water (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1
Frogadier - Water - HP80
Stage 1 - Evolves from Froakie
[W] Water Slice: 20 damage.
[W][W][C] Aqua Wave: 40+ damage. Flip two coins. This attack does 20 more damage for each heads.
Weakness: Grass (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

Stage two:
I think that these cards are pretty sick themselves. I mean, we've never had such diverse Pokemon before. It's like they've been taken out of the worlds coolest video game ever! We have a wizard who has a flaming wand, a Ninja, and a beast-tank thing that looks like it could crush anything in it's path. These are some EPIC stage two's!
Chesnaught - Grass - HP150
Stage 2 - Evolves from Quilladin
[G][C][C] Needle Arm: 50 damage.
[G][G][C][C] Rolling Attack: 80+ damage. Flip a coin. if heads, this attack does 40 more damage.
Weakness: Fire (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 4
Delphox - Fire - HP140
Stage 2 - Evolves from Braixen
[R][C] Will-O-Wisp: 30 damage.
[R][C][C][C] Fire Blast: 120 damage. Discard 1 Energy attached to this Pokemon.
Weakness: Water (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 2
Greninja - Water - HP140
Stage 2 - Evolves from Frogadier
[W] Dupe: 40 damage. Flip a coin. If heads, discard 1 Energy attached to the Defending Pokemon.
[W][W][C] Aqua Edge: 80 damage.
Weakness: Grass (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1
The Legandaries.
The Kalos legendary Pokemon Xerneas and Yveltal have been revealed in English. I think that they did a amazing job on Yveltal's art and a good job on Xerneas as well. This is the best fairy type EX, and I like the fairy type design.
Xerneas-EX from XY Yveltal-EX from XY
Mega evolving with Blastiose and Venasaur
Pokemon has also revealed Blastiose EX and Venasaur EX. These cards are *sigh* basic. I still don't like this idea, but I guess it's out of my control. Anyway, the game manic for mega evolving has been revealed that you place the Mega card on top of a EX card, but this automatically ends your turn. The mega cards feature better attacks than the EXs, but as of right now they have not been revealed. I think it would be cool is you has to give Blastoise a Blastoise ite and the use a mega ring to evovole him like the video game does, but I guess the card game isn't that complex. As for Mega Charizard, it has not been revealed to the public. It is possible that he will not be released until the next set in X and Y.

More new Pokemon
The last new Kalos Pokemon to be revealed is Furfrou. As you see below, the two versions of furfrou has the exact same attacks as each other, but one is the generic form and one is in pink groomed form.

Furfrou - Colorless - HP90
Basic Pokemon
[C][C] Glaring Bite: 20 damage. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon is now Paralyzed.
[C][C][C] Sharp Fang: 50 damage.
Weakness: Fighting (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1
Old Pokemon, New cards
In addition to all of the new Pokemon, which I love, we will also be getting plenty of old Pokemon with new cards and attacks. We have Miltank, Snorlax, Bidoof, and Skitty, which are all colorless. But here's the cool part- you know how the original games weren't in 3D right? And that all of these Pokemon are from the older games? Well, all of these old Pokemon aren't in the same kind of 3D look as the new Kalos Pokemon. I find this quite intresting

Bidoof from XY Beginning SetsMiltank from XY Beginning Sets

Bidoof - Colorless - HP70
Basic Pokemon
[C][C][C] Rollout: 60 damage.
Weakness: Fighting (x2)

 Pack Design
And finally we have the pack design for the new X and Y. I think this looks amazing! I might be partisan though since these are my two favorite colors, but it's not just that. They make these packs work really well, and it's kind of nice to go into some color after everything was Black and white, which really isn't that interesting to look at. I also really like the computer-generated look. Like Black and white, the colors are the same as the legionaries for the new games. The packs that have been revealed to show, Xerneas and Yveltal, the new legandaries, as well as Blastiose and Venasaur, which are well known for their new Mega Evolutions. But, Charizard has not been revealed on a pack, offering further evidence towards the fact the Charizard will not becoming out until a second set or later.

Well, I hope this was a sufficient amount of information, and I'll be back with more X and Y updates!

The Ditto theory

Hello Pokemon fans! Today I will be talking about the Ditto/Mew Fan theory. This is one of my favorite fan theories because it has reasonable facts from the games, and it kind of makes sense. The idea is that Ditto is a failed clone of Mew, and here's why:

1. For starters, Ditto looks very fan made. I mean, just look at him. How many purple blobs do you know of that can transform into any kind of Pokemon and have such a derby smile that are born in nature? That's what I thought.

2. They are both the color pink, and their shiny forms are both blue.

3. They weigh the exact same (8.8 pounds).

4. They can both (technically) learn any move.

5. They both have the ability transform.

6. They both have even base stats in each category. Mew has 100 in each and Ditto 48 in each, which displays how, being a failed clone, it wasn't as good as Mew itself.

7.Mew was said to have the DNA of every Pokemon, while Ditto can breed with any Pokemon.

8. The most convincing evidence of all is that in Pokemon Yellow, Fire Red, and Leaf Green, the mansion where it is said Mewtwo was created was updated to feature there, which could mean it was created in that mansion as well.

This fan theory, surprisingly, has very few holes. I actually think this is very possible.

Legendary treasures

Hello Pokemon fans! The Pokemon Company has announced that there is going to be a new set coming out this November 8, called Legendary Treasurers. This will feature lots of reprints, but a fair amount of new cards as well. So, lets check them out!

For the first time...

For the first time, this set will feature EXs that are not legendary since they started reprinting EXs. But these are slightly different than the old EXs. Some of these Pokemon that are the new EXs are stage one and twos such as Excadrill and chandelure ... BUT ARE BASIC EXs!

But... How... GAAA! I just don't see how a stage one or two can be...BASIC!?!?!? This makes absolutely no sense. It defies all Pokemon logic that Pokemon trainers have ever known! I have the photos of the cards and you can see for yourself if this is making no sense to you. I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't. I still don't get it.

Excadrill-EX from Legendary Treasures

As strange as the cards are, when you get past the fact they're A BASIC, it's kind of cool. I like a lot of Pokemon's final evolution, but not their other stages so much, so I think it's nice to just put down their other evolved form and start dealing lots of damage, and I hope they do this with other cards.

This set will also be including a new kind of holo foil called the radiant collection. These 25 cards will also have their own numbering and rarity scheme. Personally, I like this idea., mainly because I just don't like the foil cards right now. They have the Pokemons type symbol all over it, and I'm just not a fan. You can see one of those cards below that is supposed to have the new foil coating.

New cards

Ninetales from Legendary TreasuresPikachu from Legendary TreasuresSpiritomb from Legendary TreasuresMeloetta-EX from Legendary Treasures

There are several new cards that have been announced and shown in English.

The first is Ninetales, which you can see below. This, with its color coordination attack, would do great in any deck that had prism or blend energies. I think this is O.K. For a stage one I would expect something a bit for hard hitting and higher HP, but I suppose it will do. You can see it below:

Ninetales from Legendary Treasures

Another new card is Pikachu. This is actually a reprint of a previous Pikachu, but it is one of the cards with the new type of foil, listed above. There isn't much to say about this card, since it's only printed for people to collect and look at since it doesn't have any good attacks, but it does have a new type of foil and a nice picture.look pretty epic. You can see it below (trust me, you'll agree it looks amazing):

Pikachu from Legendary Treasures

Another card that will be brought back in Legendary treasurers is Spirtitomb. This cards stops the use of Ace Specs for both players, which i don't find that great since players can only play one ace spec in their deck, and  you might also need to use one too. But the attack is a slight upside. It allows you to, for one colorless energy, to shuffle your hand into your deck and draw the same number of cards as your opponent, which is O.K., but not that great.  At least this can be played in any deck. You can see it below:

Spiritomb from Legendary Treasures

And last but not least is Meloetta EX. I think this card looks amazing, but is the worst EX
in existence. It does 30 damage for three energy, plus 30 more for each Pokemon that has round, which isn't very good at all since it isn't easy to get the same Pokemon on your bench many times. The other attack does 20 damage for 2 colorless and also puts them to sleep or confused, which is neat since it puts your opponent to sleep or confuses and all, but it does barley any damage and probably won't give you the K.O. you need to when the game. On top of all that, it has a mere 110 Hp, which is extremely low for an EX. In short, I will not be adding this card to my deck.

Meloetta-EX from Legendary Treasures

Well, those are the new cards! We will see several reprints as well, such as Keldeo Ex, Mewtwo Ex, and Darkrai Ex. I can't wait!

How to play Pokemon 1- game Setup

Pokemon Resources

Hello Pokemon fans! This post has a list of Pokemon resources that are great and easy to use and extremely helpful. So here goes.

Proxies:

The best website out there for printing proxies, making deck lists, and looking for the perfect card for your deck, is by far Bebesearch. On Bebesearch, you can print out paper cards for your deck which you can use until you get the real copies. They also have a great card database, where you can submit the filters you want and find just the card your deck needs. The last function, but certainly not the least, is it's decklist program, where you can create, edit, print, and publicly post your list, and the decklists you create are compatible with PlayTCG, which is listed below. Here is it's URL, and I hope you check it out: http://www.bebessearch.com/

(Card that bebe search got its name from)

Testing

In order for you to know if your deck is good or just a bunch of trash, you have to play with it to see what it could improve on, and to see how it is played best against other decks.but a big challenge is that getting the cards costs a lot of money, which you don't want to spend if the decks no good, and it's hard to find an opponent, and even when you can they might not have the deck you need to test against. Well, PlayTCG has the answer.  PlayTCG allows you to take the decklists you have made through Bebesearch, seen above, and play against other players from throughout the world. But you do have to put out damage counters, draw cards, ect. manually, unlike the Pokemon TCG online. While PTO is easy to use in that it does all the shuffling, drawing, and damage dealing for you, getting the cards you need is incredibly hard since the only way to get cards is by getting virtual packs from the code cards in real packs and entering it in on the program, which costs tons of money, and almost never gets you the cards that you need. But play TCG, however, does let you use cards on the program you don't have it real life- you just tell it what you want in your deck and it gives it to you. Here's it's URL: http://www.playtcg.me/

Buying

While testing and all of that is important, it's useless for a player who doesn't have the cards to actually play in tournaments. I believe (while there are many others) that TrollandToad is the best Pokemon card seller out there. It's prices, while probably being slightly more than they should be (which is the same with every card seller out there to earn a profit), they seem to have the best prices out of all of the retailers for Pokemon. I use this every time I order Pokemon cards, and they have never given me a fake or not sent the cards, so it's very trustworthy. As for there selection, they sell all Pokemon cards, along with code cards and some merchandise, along with tins, boxes, and packs of cards, they rarely have older cards in stock unless they buy them from someone who is willing to sell. Their new, popular cards also run out of stock every once in a while because players need them faster than they can pull them, but they usually get them back in stock within a day or two. As you proudly saw me mention above, they do sell cards, and they'll pay you about 1/2-2/3 of what they'll sell it for, but I think this is pretty generous since Pokemon card values are constantly going up and down (down more than up), and they have to make some profit, right? Here's their URL: http://www.trollandtoad.com/Pokemon/7061.p1n10.html.

Scans and news

At Pokebeach, there are two great features that always draws me to the website. The first is it's Pokemon card scans. It has all of the English set scans of cards, and they are extremely high quality too. You can easy find every card and what set it is in. I get a lot of the card scans from my blog from there. The other upside to this website is its news. They have lots of resources, and they are always making new posts about all sorts of Pokemon news- both official, and leaks! :) This is where I get some info from as well, and I hope you check it out! You can visit the site by using this URL: http://pokebeach.com/

Well, I hope these resources help you with Pokemon. They sure have helped me a lot and I hope you agree!

New Pokemon Rules

Hello Pokemon Fans! Pokemon has announced that the Pokemon TCG new rules from Japan will be coming to America (whether we want it or not). Below are the new rules players will have to follow starting November 8 in both Japan and America.
First turn rules
As usual, one player flips a coin. But, the winner of the coin flip will decide who goes first. Easy decision right? Mabey not. The player who goes first can’t attack! So, if you want to start dealing damage first, you might want to make the other go first. If you want to get a fast setup, youmight want to go first. The reason for this rule change is to prevent donks on the first turn. I think this rule is interesting…guess I’ll have to see how it plays out in the metagame.
Catcher rule
Now the card Pokemon Catcher will require a coin flip. While this makes it harder to get a opponents, at least a slight upside is that your bench is protected from being easily catchered up, which can give them an easy prize or really disrupt your strategy. But, I find in a little angering that Pokemon changed the text on a card, even after it was reprinted twice. This new rule change makes catcher exactly like Pokemon Reversal  a previous card that was the same as catcher, but  a coin flip.

Professor Rule
Professor Sycamore in XY TCGThe new Pokemon Professor, Professor Sycamore, has been revealed to allow you to discard your hand and draw 7 cards, the exact same as Professor Juniper. And because that it has and identical effect as Juniper, you can’t have both cards in the same deck.  While I see their point on not wanting eight of the same cards in your deck, but still, it’s not like this is an overpowered card or anything, and I think it would be fine to have the two in your deck.

Well, what do you think about the rule change? Do you think this is reasonable, or has Nintendo lots it’s marbles? Put you opinion in the comments section below!
